A Doll's Glove

Created on 08 Nov 2017

Sensor glove driven puppet

We are going to build a sensor glove able to record finger movements. With it on hand, one will be able to perform tricks like controlling a virtual puppet. Full of possibilities, and a lot of fun!

Jan.16, 2017@build 18 ~ Sorry for the delay (Sounds like someone is actually following our updates hhh)~ Sensors were attached to the glove on Tuesday. It might be the most glorious moment of a kitchen glove. All flex sensors are settled and the testing ultrasonic sensor works fine. Flex sensor data can be successfully captured now.

3 most exciting progresses we made on the first day: 1st position: Built the flex sensor circuit and tested it; 2nd position: Designed our first puppet star; 3rd position: Made the parts of our hologram trick; Honorable mention: Picking up the missing Arduino kit. 3 most acceptable reasons we stayed up late till midnight: 1st: Learning Arduino with Python; 2nd: Python 2.7 versus Python 3; 3rd: Shopping for ultrasonic sensor; Honorable mention: kill time. 3 most memorable moments: 3rd: Waited for pizza till 8pm; 2nd: Waited for pizza till 8pm but then gave up; 1st: Waited for pizza till 8pm but then gave up and returned to work on coding; Honorable mention: All the rest.

Jan.17, 2017@build 18 ~ We mainly worked with blender today and will continue tomorrow. Currently we can successfully control a bloody hand dancing on the screen, which seems very Halloween. We are still aiming for a dancing puppet. Mini racks are almost ready to hang the ultrasonic sensors. Cheerfully appreciated that ice cream was provided at night. That was so sweet!
